Update: after looking it up broadband is different than wifi, and its only giving me the option to set up a broadband (PPPoE) I use a Comfast CF-300NS at 300Mbps and it works fine and only about $25. You can buy a USB Wifi adapter if the modem is WiFi capable. If you don't have an adapter it won't find one. The system should detect your WiFi device. Here you have the ability to setup your WiFi.Ĭhange your network settings to setup a new connection. You need to go into your adapter settings. Literally all i want to do is play steam game and watch youtube I do have an old linksys "Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter" and when i plug it in, it shows i have an internet connection but its saying im not connected to the internet on chrome/steam If you still feel you need wireless you can get a Wireless USB adapter and use that to connect or you can try a Powerline Adapter Starter Kit. A direct connection is always better than a wireless anyway.

You should have an ethernet port on the back so you can run Cat5e cable to your router or modem in the mean time. Drivers are based on the chipset on the motherboard and I'm sure the desktop and notebook chipsets are different since one is a desktop and the other is a notebook.

You can't install drivers from your notebook on it w/o making things worse.

If you did and you didn't get it then call customer support and explain the issue and get some help. If you didn't select the wireless NIC when you ordered it then you don't have wireless function. This is a prepackaged system so it should come with the drivers already installed.
